Understanding Lifestyle
Adler defines lifestyle as a set of internalized values, feelings of inferiority, and means of attaining a life goal. Through the movement of the individual through different environments, the lifestyle is revealed. However, the concept of lifestyle is not as easily grasped as it is in the case of a culture. Here are some basic elements of lifestyle that you can incorporate into your daily life. The first step towards understanding lifestyle is to recognize and define its elements.
Lifestyle plays a significant role in maintaining physical and mental health. In some ethnic groups, consanguinity is the dominant life style, which is associated with genetic disorders. Changing such lifestyles can help prevent or eliminate such genetic diseases. One of the most notable statistics is the number of pharmaceutical drugs used in Iran. It is estimated that fifteen to forty percent of Iranians use medication without a prescription. Most common are antibiotics, pain relievers, and eye drops.
The results of this study suggest that lifestyle benefits such as a healthy diet, high physical activity, and access to the Internet can improve your employee’s health. However, they have limited applicability to other populations. Although the results of this study are generalizable to the Canadian population, further research is needed to confirm this association in other locations. To be able to measure the impact of lifestyle factors on the health of a population, additional studies are needed.
